About me
I am an independent funeral celebrant. I live in Burnham-on-Sea with my wife and two sons.
My earlier career was in social work and running charities, including as the CEO of Age UK Gloucestershire. I have also worked as a lecturer and trainer, supermarket cleaner and washer-upper at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
I am still involved in the charity sector and am a proud to be a trustee of In Charley’s Memory, a local organisation that supports young people’s mental health.
From all this experience I bring compassion, a desire to support people at difficult times and a belief that finding the right words with which to say our goodbyes can be a powerful part of healing.
My interests include listening to and collecting music, supporting Brentford FC, playing tennis, watching most sports and I’m always reading a book.

I'm told I am a warm and approachable person. I am professional whilst bringing my own personality and positive communication to help navigate tough times.

A Funeral Celebrant is a person who is specifically trained and certified, who seeks to meet the needs of families during their time of loss. They serve by providing a funeral service that is personalised to reflect the personality and life of the deceased.
“Thanks for the sensitive and sincere way in which you conducted the celebration of our dear friend’s life as we said ‘goodbye’ after 50 years..”
